What a day!

October 11, 2012 by admin

Well I’m propping my chin up with my arm now, lagging over my little desk here at Penney & Company because I am t-i-r-e-d!  Today was another fun-filled experience at The Marilyn Denis Show which started at 5 am since I didn’t want to leave ANYTHING to chance where traffic jams were concerned!  This lead to sitting in a coffee shop from 7am on but I digress…

The day started bright and early at the famous CTV headquarters at Queen and John in Toronto.

It was funny because they held us guests not in the regular green room but in the Much Music set where many a famous rock star has visited.

Finally we got to our segment on setting up the ultimate dream guest room – a spot sponsored by Pottery Barn.  There was a lot of info to get through so less room for the hilarious calamity I’m used to with live TV, but fun none the less.  Marilyn is always a treat and so warm and friendly.  We usually bond over some vintage find or other during the commercial break or I tell her about what I loved about her radio show that morning (my alarm is set to CHUM FM).

Then it was off to run a million errands and now here I am back where it all started in Durham.  Can’t wait to go to bed early tonight!

i am a devoted reader of your blog. thought you might be interested – my dad was the guy who bought the old Ryerson Press building on behalf of the CHUM folks who, back then, owned CITY TV. He was the founding GM of Much Music, and GM of CITY TV etc and oversaw the renovation of the building. Just one of those 6 degrees of separation stories i thought you might be interested in.
