DIY Picture Frames on Marilyn Denis Show

September 7, 2012 by admin

Yesterday I returned to The Marilyn Denis Show on CTV for a little DIY fun!  It was all about fixing up frames and adding a little style to your home through colourful artwork and pictures.  All of the projects are super easy and inexpensive – I hope you’ll give them a try!

Taking part in LIVE television is always a little crazy.  I was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic and really worried that I’d miss the show!  I got there okay and did a little rehearsal with the cameras and crew.  Did you know it’s a big no-no to hold up items from your project and show them around?  The camera crew goes nuts!  I tried to hold things still and keep them happy. There’s always a buzz in that famed studio on Queen Street West the morning of the show and you never know which TV host or celebrity guest you’ll bump into!

Behind the scenes at The Marilyn Denis Show

Getting ready for my close up on Marilyn Denis’ show!

New for the show, the producers had me join the other experts on a panel to help answer viewer questions.  Nothing crazy had happened during my DIY segment, so of course something had to happen during the panel portion!  I pretended to slap a viewer!  I don’t know what I was thinking!  Marilyn seemed to enjoy it though…

We also gave our two cents worth on a Calgary viewer’s very posh place.  It was lots of fun on Marilynhope you enjoy!
