Kennebunkport Maine Part II

August 8, 2012 by admin

Here are a few more snap shots from our 2012 trip to Kennebunkport Maine.

Here I am on the porch of one of the amazing old Colonial buildings in town…check out those columns and I love how the ceiling is painting the traditional sky blue.

And Sara in front of another gorgeous house complete with a white picket fence!  I’d live here in a minute!

The houses on the water (along Ocean Avenue in Kennebunkport) are just breath taking.  Their east coast shingled style is just so lovely and their setting couldn’t be more perfect.

Here’s another one!

And another one!

I’m sure you can see why I get so inspired here.  I’m so glad we had a chance to get away and recharge.  And it’s given me lots of ideas and inspiration for projects to come!

Michael, your pictures are gorgeous! They take me back a few years to a trip we took to Nova Scotia via Maine. Like you, I also took lots of pictures of houses, all so pretty and inspiring. The Bush family compound was another photo opportunity across the water, with several large black SUVs in attendance no doubt indicating that some family members were present and in need of protection. That was when GW was still president…fun times.
    Thanks for he memories!

The Greek Revival with the two-story porch is just amazing. All very beautiful and all very Maine.

  3. Mike says:

Great snaps! You & Sara look too cool for school – very relaxed. Glad you guys had a nice restbit.

Seems like quite a few people I know headed to Maine this summer. I have never been, but since I love Boston, Nantucket and all that is New England, I know I would love Maine. Thanks for the great photos and the nudge that I need to get to Maine.
