The Real McCoy: Collecting Vintage Pottery

April 10, 2012 by admin

I’ve been searching high and low for vintage pottery for the shop and falling in love all over again with McCoy and Haeger pottery.

It comes in such lovely pastel colours and has a heft and weight that just feels good in the hand.  I can just imagine the floral arrangements that were sent by florists in these vessels so long ago.  Much better than the boring stuff you see today!  Haeger and McCoy pottery makes for such beautiful displays and can be repurposed in all sorts of ways.  Be sure to check out what I’ve found for sale in the shop soon!

I have a bit of a pottery “issue” myself- just ask my spouse.Lately I’ve been into some of the English potteries such as Poole,Royal Winton/Grimwades,etc.Still good values to be had & positively stunning designs. Can’t wait to see what you have in store Michael. Gotta make that pilgramage to the GTA.
