Sometimes roses are just so…done. But grouped en masse in a single colour without any fern or baby’s breath, they’re wonderfully lovely and pure. Here, I worked with some ivory roses and a blue and white vase I picked up at Value Village. A match made in heaven if you ask me.

Roses, love them, can’t stand to throw them out once bloom is off. I dry every one and have so many vases and baskets of dried roses everywhere. When they start to fall apart from too much jostling around then I reluctantly retire them. The white ones you have are so yummy and look so beautiful in blue vase. Nancy
Hello Michael….I just had the pleasure of doing up the most be-u-ti-ful bunch of white roses for myself this week too….I bunched them together in my favorite green belveled vase and placed them on my kitchen table….they put a smile on my face both leaving and coming back home each day!!!!!! I just love roses, and snail mail, and living by the ocean, and the ground covered in a blanket of snow, and the sun streaming through the window…………………….ROSES make my heart joyful! Have a lovely day, Jayne
I’m so happy the roses make you happy too Jane! It’s the little things isn’t it?

The new Ikea runners, place mats and TRIPP tins for spring are awash (literally, in watercolour-like tones of pink and green) with roses. Some of the roses are quite blowsy, like David Austin roses in my garden. I picked up some place mats, and now I can’t wait for a change of season! Patience…
Oooh! Thanks Jennifer – I’ll have to check the TRIPP line out!
